CHURCH HISTORY

Radiant Church is an independent Spirit-empowered church under the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening (ANGA) which is part of a Revival Alliance Network.  Dr. Randy Clark is the president and apostolic leader of Global Awakening.

 

Radiant has its roots in the Assemblies of God, planted in the 1930’s as First Assembly in Lincoln. Originally organized in the downtown area of Lincoln, the congregation moved to the corner of 56th and R Street in circa 1979 and remained there until 2000 when they moved to the present location at the corner of 70th and Vine Street, assuming the building that was once St. Mark's Methodist Church.

 

The name for the church has also changed through the years. Originally First Assembly, it was renamed Gates of Praise when the congregation moved to the current location. Then in 2011, the church assumed the name Radiant inspired by Ephesians 5:26-27, “Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her  to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a RADIANT CHURCH, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.”

 

In recent years, Radiant became a part of the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening. It is our belief that more can be accomplished together than working alone.

Josh Nicole Mcfall Radiant Church in Lincoln, NE

Josh & Nicole McFall

Lead Pastors

They met during Josh's third year at Charis Bible College and were married in 2015. Together, they are raising two daughters, Liliana and Logan, and they prioritize their family and marriage—second only to their relationship with Jesus.

 

In September 2024, they became the successors to longtime pastor Dr. Connie Dawson. Before stepping into leadership at Radiant, they helped plant Charis Church with Max and Molly Cornell, following God's call to Kansas.

 

As pastors, their passion is to see heaven impact families, the church, their city, and beyond. With a heart for healing, freedom, and victorious living, they believe in the present-day power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives. At Radiant Church, they cultivate a culture marked by God’s presence, the miraculous, authentic community, and the freedom of the Holy Spirit.

 

Outside of ministry, Josh enjoys outdoorsman activities, and both he and Nicole are devoted to living a life of intimacy with Jesus and empowering others to do the same.

RC and Julia Fries

Associate Pastors

R.C. and Julia Fries joined the staff at Radiant Church in the summer of 2021 as associate pastors. They met while attending Nebraska Christian College, where they both graduated with associate degrees in ministry. Julia went on to graduate with her bachelor's in ministry from Oral Roberts University. At 18, R.C. had a radical encounter with God, which brought him to salvation and received a call into ministry. Having grown up in Lincoln, R.C.'s heart is to see the city of Lincoln saved and brought into revival.

 

Julia felt God's call to serve the church from a young age and even gave her first sermon at seven while serving in Mexico. Having grown up as a pastor's kid, Julia received Christ as a child.

 

Both R.C. and Julia have a great love for the body of Christ and a desire to see the lost saved. They serve in many areas of the church including administration, worship, youth and kids church. R.C. and Julia have Four young kids. They love to build, garden, camp, and worship together as a family.
